What it is for
This is one of the objects in our catalogue that does not fit a neat family. Its options and print area below say what it can carry.
Read the product spec below for the materials and dimensions.
Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing
Direct-to-garment printing works like an inkjet printer for fabric: water-based ink is sprayed into the fibres and cured with heat.
It prints full colour in one pass, so a photograph or a gradient costs the same as a single word. On dark fabric a white base layer goes down first so the colours stay true.
On light fabric the print is barely felt; over a white base on dark fabric it is slightly firmer, like a soft film.
Designs that suit it
A design made at the print size listed below, centred on the printable face.
The print area is on the front: 1,181 × 1,772 pixels, about 3.9 × 5.9 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, paintings, detailed illustration and small type all hold. Less suited: very fine hairlines and large solid blocks of colour on dark fabric, where the base layer is most noticeable.

Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Farnham, United Kingdom, then shipped: 5–15 business days to Canada ($23.28 CAD for the first item) and 2–5 business days to the US ($31.09 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Because it is printed outside North America, import duties or taxes may apply on arrival.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by December 4 for Canada and December 18 for the US — that is the Temporary Tattoos's own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other products
- Of the 49 products in the catalogue, none costs less than this one and 46 cost more.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 15 business days, is the same as the family's median of 15; 1 other product arrives sooner.

Before you order
How long does the Temporary Tattoos take to arrive?
To Canada, 5–15 business days, with first-item shipping at $23.28 CAD; to the US, 2–5 business days ($31.09 CAD). It is printed to order in Farnham, United Kingdom, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Temporary Tattoos?
Yes. DTG prints in full colour from the image file, so photographs and paintings reproduce well; they look best on high-cotton fabric. The print file is 1181 × 1772 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What sizes does the Temporary Tattoos come in?
5 sizes: S (2" x 3"), M (3" x 4"), L (4" x 6"), XL (7.75" x 7.75"), XXL (11.75" x 11.75").
When should I order the Temporary Tattoos for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by December 4 to Canada and December 18 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Temporary Tattoos?
It is DTG-printed, and that sets the care. Wash inside out in cold water. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly over the print. No bleach or fabric softener on the printed area.
