What it is for
Greeting cards and postcards are the oldest personal print there is, and the one most often kept.
Packs and envelopes vary by product; the size and quantity options below say what comes in the box.
Digital printing
Digital printing is high-resolution inkjet: pigment ink is laid onto paper, canvas, card or a label in fine dots.
It has the widest colour range of any method here, and the finest detail, which is why it is used for art prints.
The finish depends on the stock — matte, satin or gloss — not on the ink.
Designs that suit it
A picture on the front and room to write inside or on the back. Type on a card can be smaller than anywhere else because it is read in the hand.
The print area is on the front: 1,228 × 1,819 pixels, about 4.1 × 6.1 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, paintings, maps and fine type. Less suited: very large flat areas of a single dark colour on matte stock, which can show slight banding up close.
Sentences that would suit it
“A fox dancing in a leaf hat, for a kid who loves foxes”
Dancing Fox, Ohara Koson, 1900s. Public domain. Shown on our example matte vertical posters.
“Two tall trees side by side, for my best friend”
Two Poplars in the Alpilles near Saint-Rémy, Vincent van Gogh, 1889. Public domain. Shown on our example matte vertical posters.
“A full moon over the bay from our holiday room”
The Moon-Viewing Promontory, Utagawa Hiroshige, 1857. Public domain. Shown on our example matte vertical posters.
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.
Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Riga, Rīga, Latvia, then shipped: 5–15 business days to Canada ($16.15 CAD for the first item) and 5–15 business days to the US ($29.85 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Because it is printed outside North America, import duties or taxes may apply on arrival.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by December 4 for Canada and December 4 for the US — that is the Postcards (7 pcs)'s own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other cards
- Of the 15 cards in the catalogue, 4 cost less and 10 cost more.

How long does the Postcards (7 pcs) take to arrive?
To Canada, 5–15 business days, with first-item shipping at $16.15 CAD; to the US, 5–15 business days ($29.85 CAD). It is printed to order in Riga, Rīga, Latvia, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Postcards (7 pcs)?
Yes. Digital printing is the best method here for photographs: the widest colour range and the finest detail. The print file is 1228 × 1819 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
When should I order the Postcards (7 pcs) for Christmas?
