Purchase orders

Send a PO to accounts@makevessim.com referencing a quote number and we will acknowledge it the same business day and put the order into production against it. The PO number appears on the invoice, the packing list and the order page, so a three-way match works without anyone chasing a reference.

We do not require a PO. If your process does, ours accommodates it; if it does not, a card at checkout is a complete transaction.

Net terms

Net 30 is available on request for incorporated customers, usually after one order paid at point of sale. There is no credit application and no personal guarantee. Larger or first orders above a few thousand dollars may be split — a deposit covering the blanks, balance on dispatch — because production commits real money to a partner before anything ships.

What an invoice looks like

One line per design, with sizes, colours and quantities itemised beneath it, then shipping and tax as separate lines. Tax is shown with its rate and jurisdiction — GST/HST by province in Canada, state and local sales tax in the United States — and a registration number appears on every Canadian invoice.

Invoices arrive as PDF and are available from the order page indefinitely. A consolidated monthly statement across many orders can be arranged; ask once and it recurs.

Tax documents and exemption

A W-9 for US customers and a W-8BEN-E for customers who need to establish our Canadian status are both available on request. We are based in Ontario; see the imprint for the entity details.

Resale and exemption certificates are honoured. Send the certificate before ordering and the exemption is applied at checkout rather than refunded afterwards, which is cleaner for both sides at year end.

Vendor onboarding

We will complete a vendor form, supply banking details for EFT or ACH, provide a certificate of insurance, and sign a reasonable NDA or supplier agreement. We will not sign a term requiring a sales volume we cannot forecast, or an indemnity for a client’s own artwork rights — that one belongs with whoever supplied the artwork, as IP & copyright sets out.

The security questionnaire

The usual questions, answered in advance. The fuller version is on the security page.

  • Where is data held? United States. Every sub-processor is listed on sub-processors.
  • Are payments handled in-house? No. Stripe. We never see a card number.
  • Do you hold a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 certificate? No. We are an early-stage company and we are not going to claim an audit we have not had.
  • Is data encrypted? In transit and at rest, by default, through the platforms above.
  • Breach notification? Within 72 hours of becoming aware, to the contact on the account.
  • Sub-contracting? Printing and delivery only, to the parties named on the sub-processor page.

Who to write to

accounts@makevessim.com for POs, invoices, terms and tax documents. Send a brief for anything that needs a quote first, and volume pricing for where the breaks sit before you ask.
