Your prompts are yours.
We collect what's needed to design, print and deliver a gift, and not much else. Here is the full list.
What we collect
- Prompts and uploads: the text you type and the photos, logos or sketches you add, used to generate designs.
- Order details: your name and email, the recipient’s name and address, the product and design, and payment confirmation from our processor (not your card number).
- Account data, if you create one: email, saved designs, order history.
- Technical data: IP address, browser, pages viewed, kept in server logs for 30 days for security and debugging.
How we use it
- To generate your designs and show you previews.
- To print and ship the order, which means sharing the design file and the recipient’s address with the print partner.
- To send order emails: confirmation, printing, shipped, delivered. These are not marketing.
- To send the newsletter, only if you subscribed, and you can leave with one click.
- To review flagged content under the Content policy.
Model training
We do not use your prompts, uploads or designs to train or fine-tune generative models, ours or anyone else’s. Design generation runs with providers under agreements that prohibit training on our inputs.
Retention
- Uploaded photos are deleted 90 days after the order ships, or 30 days after upload if no order is placed.
- Prompts and generated designs tied to an account stay until you delete them or the account.
- Order records are kept 7 years for tax and warranty purposes.
- Server logs are kept 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw newsletter consent at any time. Write to privacy@makevessim.com; we respond within 30 days. Residents of Quebec, the EU, the UK and California have additional statutory rights which we honour regardless of where you are.
