What it is for
A stretched canvas is wall art with depth: the image wraps around a wooden frame and hangs without glass.
Keep faces and text at least a few centimetres in from the edges so they stay on the front.
Digital printing
Digital printing is high-resolution inkjet: pigment ink is laid onto paper, canvas, card or a label in fine dots.
It has the widest colour range of any method here, and the finest detail, which is why it is used for art prints.
The finish depends on the stock — matte, satin or gloss — not on the ink.
Designs that suit it
Paintings, landscapes and photographs suit the texture. The image wraps the sides, so whatever is at the very edge ends up on the depth of the frame.
The print area is on the front: 7,200 × 10,800 pixels, about 24.0 × 36.0 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, paintings, maps and fine type. Less suited: very large flat areas of a single dark colour on matte stock, which can show slight banding up close.
Sentences that would suit it

Pasture Rose (Rosa carolina corymbosa), Pierre-Joseph Redouté, 1817–24. Public domain. Shown on our example matte canvas, stretched, 0.75" (multi-size).
“A wave crashing over a tiny Mount Fuji, for my dad who surfs”
The Great Wave off Kanagawa, Katsushika Hokusai, c. 1831. Public domain. Shown on our example matte canvas, stretched, 0.75" (multi-size).
“A fox dancing in a leaf hat, for a kid who loves foxes”
Dancing Fox, Ohara Koson, 1900s. Public domain. Shown on our example matte canvas, stretched, 0.75" (multi-size).
