What it is for
A stretched canvas is wall art with depth: the image wraps around a wooden frame and hangs without glass.
Keep faces and text at least a few centimetres in from the edges so they stay on the front.
Digital printing
Digital printing is high-resolution inkjet: pigment ink is laid onto paper, canvas, card or a label in fine dots.
It has the widest colour range of any method here, and the finest detail, which is why it is used for art prints.
The finish depends on the stock — matte, satin or gloss — not on the ink.
Designs that suit it
Paintings, landscapes and photographs suit the texture. The image wraps the sides, so whatever is at the very edge ends up on the depth of the frame.
The print area is on the front: 2,350 × 3,567 pixels, about 7.8 × 11.9 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, paintings, maps and fine type. Less suited: very large flat areas of a single dark colour on matte stock, which can show slight banding up close.
Sentences that would suit it
“A deep red rose on cream paper for our anniversary”
Rosa gallica purpurea velutina parva, from Les Roses, Pierre-Joseph Redouté, 1817–24. Public domain. Shown on our example matte canvas, stretched, 0.75" (multi-size).
“Sunrise over the harbour from our first trip”
Impression, Sunrise, Claude Monet, 1872. Public domain. Shown on our example matte canvas, stretched, 0.75" (multi-size).
“The river at night where we got engaged, stars over the water”
Starry Night Over the Rhône, Vincent van Gogh, 1888. Public domain. Shown on our example matte canvas, stretched, 0.75" (multi-size).
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.
Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Noble Park North, VIC, Australia, then shipped: 10–30 business days to Canada ($34.65 CAD for the first item) and 10–30 business days to the US ($29.03 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Because it is printed outside North America, import duties or taxes may apply on arrival.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by November 13 for Canada and November 13 for the US — that is the Classic Canvas's own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other canvas prints
- Of the 20 canvas prints in the catalogue, 6 cost less and 13 cost more.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 30 business days, is longer than the family's median of 15; 9 other canvas prints arrive sooner.
- 16 of the 20 are printed in North America; this one is printed in Australia.

Before you order
How long does the Classic Canvas take to arrive?
To Canada, 10–30 business days, with first-item shipping at $34.65 CAD; to the US, 10–30 business days ($29.03 CAD). It is printed to order in Noble Park North, VIC, Australia, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Classic Canvas?
Yes. Digital printing is the best method here for photographs: the widest colour range and the finest detail. The print file is 2350 × 3567 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
