What it is for
An insulated tumbler or bottle goes everywhere with someone — car, gym, desk — so a design on one is carried all day.
Lids and bases are not printed, and a powder-coated or steel finish changes how colours read compared with white ceramic.
UV printing
UV printing jets ink onto the surface and cures it instantly with ultraviolet light, which lets it print directly on rigid and coated materials.
Colour is dense and edges are sharp. On clear or coloured materials a white layer can be laid under the colour so it does not look washed out.
The ink sits on the surface with a very slight raised texture.
Designs that suit it
Wraps around a cylinder like a mug, but taller. Vertical designs, patterns and names running top to bottom suit the proportions.
The print area is on the front: 3,340 × 1,370 pixels, about 11.1 × 4.6 in at 300 dpi — a wide, landscape area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, sharp graphics and type on hard surfaces. Less suited: very thin lines on textured surfaces, where the ink follows the grain.
Sentences that would suit it
“Shirts for the family's week at the lake, sun over the water”
Example design by Vessim. Shown on our example 20oz insulated bottle.
“Mount Fuji across the bay with little sailboats, for my sailing uncle”
Pine Groves of Miho in Suruga, Utagawa Hiroshige, 1858. Public domain. Shown on our example tumbler 20oz.
“A hiker above the clouds, for my brother's first summit”
Wanderer above the Sea of Fog, Caspar David Friedrich, c. 1818. Public domain. Shown on our example tumbler 20oz.
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.

How long does the Nomad Tumbler 32oz take to arrive?

Can I put a photo on the Nomad Tumbler 32oz?
Yes. UV printing reproduces photographs in full colour on hard surfaces, with sharp edges. The print file is 3340 × 1370 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
