What it is for
This is one of the objects in our catalogue that does not fit a neat family. Its options and print area below say what it can carry.
Read the product spec below for the materials and dimensions.
Digital printing
Digital printing is high-resolution inkjet: pigment ink is laid onto paper, canvas, card or a label in fine dots.
It has the widest colour range of any method here, and the finest detail, which is why it is used for art prints.
The finish depends on the stock — matte, satin or gloss — not on the ink.
Designs that suit it
A design made at the print size listed below, centred on the printable face.
The print area is on the front: 8,268 × 11,811 pixels, about 27.6 × 39.4 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, paintings, maps and fine type. Less suited: very large flat areas of a single dark colour on matte stock, which can show slight banding up close.
Sentences that would suit it
“The mountain we cycled past in Provence”
Mont Sainte-Victoire, Paul Cézanne, c. 1904. Public domain. Shown on our example mug 11oz.
“'Grow slow' with a little sprig, for the plant lover”
Example design by Vessim. Shown on our example mug 11oz.
“A camp reunion badge with pine trees”
Example design by Vessim. Shown on our example unisex heavy cotton tee.
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.
