What it is for
A framed print arrives ready to hang, which is the difference between a gift and a project.
The frame covers a few millimetres at every edge; keep text away from the border.
Digital printing
Digital printing is high-resolution inkjet: pigment ink is laid onto paper, canvas, card or a label in fine dots.
It has the widest colour range of any method here, and the finest detail, which is why it is used for art prints.
The finish depends on the stock — matte, satin or gloss — not on the ink.
Designs that suit it
The same rules as a poster. Frames add an edge, so leave a little breathing room around the subject.
The print area is on the front: 2,398 × 3,591 pixels, about 8.0 × 12.0 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, paintings, maps and fine type. Less suited: very large flat areas of a single dark colour on matte stock, which can show slight banding up close.
Sentences that would suit it
“A tiger in a dreamy jungle for my nephew's room”
Fight Between a Tiger and a Buffalo, Henri Rousseau, 1908. Public domain. Shown on our example horizontal framed poster.
“Sunrise over the harbour from our first trip”
Impression, Sunrise, Claude Monet, 1872. Public domain. Shown on our example vertical framed poster.
“A wild rose for the garden lover in the family”
Pasture Rose (Rosa carolina corymbosa), Pierre-Joseph Redouté, 1817–24. Public domain. Shown on our example vertical framed poster.
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.
Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Swindon, AB, United Kingdom, then shipped: 10–30 business days to Canada ($73.01 CAD for the first item) and 2–5 business days to the US ($46.84 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Because it is printed outside North America, import duties or taxes may apply on arrival.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by November 13 for Canada and December 18 for the US — that is the Framed Posters's own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other framed prints
- Of the 8 framed prints in the catalogue, 2 cost less and 5 cost more.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 30 business days, is longer than the family's median of 15; 5 other framed prints arrive sooner.
- 4 of the 8 are printed in North America; this one is printed in the United Kingdom.

Before you order
How long does the Framed Posters take to arrive?
To Canada, 10–30 business days, with first-item shipping at $73.01 CAD; to the US, 2–5 business days ($46.84 CAD). It is printed to order in Swindon, AB, United Kingdom, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Framed Posters?
Yes. Digital printing is the best method here for photographs: the widest colour range and the finest detail. The print file is 2398 × 3591 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What sizes does the Framed Posters come in?
31 sizes: 8" x 12" (Vertical), 9″ x 11″ (Vertical), 10″ x 8″ (Horizontal), 11" x 14" (Vertical), 11″ x 9″ (Horizontal), 11″ x 17″ (Vertical), 12″ x 18″ (Vertical), 12" x 8" (Horizontal), 12" x 16" (Vertical), 14″ x 11″ (Horizontal), 16" x 20" (Vertical), 16″ x 24″ (Vertical), 16″ x 12″ (Horizontal), 16″ x 16″, 17″ x 11″ (Horizontal), 18″ x 12″ (Horizontal), 18″ x 24″ (Vertical), 20" x 16" (Horizontal), 20″ x 30″ (Vertical), 24″ x 24″, 24" x 32" (Vertical), 24" x 36" (Vertical), 24″ x 16″ (Horizontal), 24″ x 18″ (Horizontal), 30″ x 30″, 30″ x 20″ (Horizontal), 32″ x 48″ (Vertical), 32" x 24" (Horizontal), 36" x 24" (Horizontal), 40" x 26" (Horizontal), 48″ x 32″ (Horizontal).
When should I order the Framed Posters for Christmas?

How do I look after the Framed Posters?
It is digitally printed, and that sets the care. Keep away from damp and long periods of direct sun. Dust with a dry, soft cloth; no liquids on the print.
