What it is for
A framed print arrives ready to hang, which is the difference between a gift and a project.
The frame covers a few millimetres at every edge; keep text away from the border.
Digital printing
Digital printing is high-resolution inkjet: pigment ink is laid onto paper, canvas, card or a label in fine dots.
It has the widest colour range of any method here, and the finest detail, which is why it is used for art prints.
The finish depends on the stock — matte, satin or gloss — not on the ink.
Designs that suit it
The same rules as a poster. Frames add an edge, so leave a little breathing room around the subject.
The print area is on the front: 4,800 × 4,800 pixels, about 16.0 × 16.0 in at 300 dpi — a roughly square area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, paintings, maps and fine type. Less suited: very large flat areas of a single dark colour on matte stock, which can show slight banding up close.
Sentences that would suit it
“A hiker above the clouds, for my brother's first summit”
Wanderer above the Sea of Fog, Caspar David Friedrich, c. 1818. Public domain. Shown on our example vertical framed poster.
“A pale pink rose like an old botanical print, for Grandma”
China or Bengal Rose, from Les Roses, Pierre-Joseph Redouté, 1817–24. Public domain. Shown on our example vertical framed poster.
“A family crest with our surname and the year we married”
Example design by Vessim. Shown on our example vertical framed poster.
Examples by Vessim: public-domain art and our own lettering, not studio output. The studio designs yours from your sentence.

Before you order
How long does the Framed Horizontal Poster take to arrive?
It does not currently ship to Canada; to the US, 2–5 business days ($28.76 CAD). It is printed to order in Oakwood, GA, United States, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Framed Horizontal Poster?
Yes. Digital printing is the best method here for photographs: the widest colour range and the finest detail. The print file is 4800 × 4800 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What sizes and colours does the Framed Horizontal Poster come in?
7 sizes: 14″ x 11″, 16″ x 16″, 16″ x 12″, 20" x 16", 24″ x 16″, 30" x 20", 36″ x 12″. 3 colours: Black, Walnut, White.
When should I order the Framed Horizontal Poster for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by December 18 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Framed Horizontal Poster?
It is digitally printed, and that sets the care. Keep away from damp and long periods of direct sun. Dust with a dry, soft cloth; no liquids on the print.
