What it is for
A printed pillow lives on a couch or bed and is seen every day, which makes it a good home for a pet portrait or a place.
Check whether the product is the cover alone or includes the insert; the name says so.
Dye sublimation
Sublimation prints the design onto transfer paper with dye ink; heat then turns the dye into a gas that bonds into a polyester coating or polyester fibre.
Colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, so it is vivid and does not crack or peel. It cannot print white: white in a design shows as the colour of the item itself, which is why sublimated items are white or pale.
There is no texture at all — on fabric you cannot feel the print, and on a mug it is under a smooth coating.
Designs that suit it
A centred image on a square face. Keep detail away from the seams, which pull slightly inward.
The print area is on the front: 3,750 × 3,750 pixels, about 12.5 × 12.5 in at 300 dpi — a roughly square area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Full-colour photographs, paintings and edge-to-edge patterns. Less suited: designs that rely on white ink, and important detail right at seams, handles or edges where the transfer wraps.
Sentences that would suit it

Woman with a Parasol, Claude Monet, 1875. Public domain. Shown on our example spun polyester square pillow.
“Birds stealing strawberries, a pattern for Grandma's cushions”
Strawberry Thief, William Morris, designed 1883. Public domain. Shown on our example spun polyester square pillow.
“The river at night where we got engaged, stars over the water”
Starry Night Over the Rhône, Vincent van Gogh, 1888. Public domain. Shown on our example spun polyester square pillow.

Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Swindon, AB, United Kingdom, then shipped: 10–30 business days to Canada ($35.61 CAD for the first item) and 2–5 business days to the US ($51.36 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Because it is printed outside North America, import duties or taxes may apply on arrival.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by November 13 for Canada and December 18 for the US — that is the Square Pillow's own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other pillows
- Of the 26 pillows in the catalogue, 11 cost less and 10 cost more.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 30 business days, is longer than the family's median of 15; 22 other pillows arrive sooner.
- 23 of the 26 are printed in North America; this one is printed in the United Kingdom.

Before you order
How long does the Square Pillow take to arrive?
To Canada, 10–30 business days, with first-item shipping at $35.61 CAD; to the US, 2–5 business days ($51.36 CAD). It is printed to order in Swindon, AB, United Kingdom, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Square Pillow?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photographs in full colour with no texture. White areas print as the item's own colour, so a photo with a white background blends into it. The print file is 3750 × 3750 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What sizes does the Square Pillow come in?
3 sizes: 12" × 12", 18" × 18", 22" × 22".
When should I order the Square Pillow for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by November 13 to Canada and December 18 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Square Pillow?
It is sublimation-printed, and that sets the care. Wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low. No bleach; the colour is in the fibre, so it will not crack.
