What it is for
A cap is decorated on a small curved front panel, which makes it the place for a mark rather than a picture.
Caps are usually adjustable one-size; the front panel height is what limits the design, not the size.
Dye sublimation
Sublimation prints the design onto transfer paper with dye ink; heat then turns the dye into a gas that bonds into a polyester coating or polyester fibre.
Colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, so it is vivid and does not crack or peel. It cannot print white: white in a design shows as the colour of the item itself, which is why sublimated items are white or pale.
There is no texture at all — on fabric you cannot feel the print, and on a mug it is under a smooth coating.
Designs that suit it
A short word, an initial, a simple logo or a small emblem. Wide designs wrap around the curve and lose their edges.
The print area is on the front: 6,534 × 5,772 pixels, about 21.8 × 19.2 in at 300 dpi — a roughly square area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Full-colour photographs, paintings and edge-to-edge patterns. Less suited: designs that rely on white ink, and important detail right at seams, handles or edges where the transfer wraps.
Sentences that would suit it

“A red mountain at dawn for the friend who climbed it”
Fine Wind, Clear Morning (Red Fuji), Katsushika Hokusai, c. 1831 (adapted). Public domain. Shown on our example low profile baseball cap.

“Shirts for the family's week at the lake, sun over the water”

Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Redmond, WA, United States, then shipped: 10–30 business days to Canada ($13.41 CAD for the first item) and 2–5 business days to the US ($6.97 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Printed in North America, so it ships without an overseas leg and no import duties apply within North America.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by November 13 for Canada and December 18 for the US — that is the Santa Hat's own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other caps and hats
- Of the 256 caps and hats in the catalogue, 130 cost less and 121 cost more.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 30 business days, is the same as the family's median of 30; 69 other caps and hats arrive sooner.
- 256 of the 256 are printed in North America, this one included.

Before you order
How long does the Santa Hat take to arrive?
To Canada, 10–30 business days, with first-item shipping at $13.41 CAD; to the US, 2–5 business days ($6.97 CAD). It is printed to order in Redmond, WA, United States, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Santa Hat?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photographs in full colour with no texture. White areas print as the item's own colour, so a photo with a white background blends into it. The print file is 6534 × 5772 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
When should I order the Santa Hat for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by November 13 to Canada and December 18 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Santa Hat?
It is sublimation-printed, and that sets the care. Wash cold, inside out. Tumble dry low. No bleach; the colour is in the fibre, so it will not crack.
