Digital printing is high-resolution inkjet: pigment ink is laid onto paper, canvas, card or a label in fine dots.
It has the widest colour range of any method here, and the finest detail, which is why it is used for art prints.
The finish depends on the stock — matte, satin or gloss — not on the ink.

A picture on the front and room to write inside or on the back. Type on a card can be smaller than anywhere else because it is read in the hand.
The print area is on the front: 775 × 1,125 pixels, about 2.6 × 3.8 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Photographs, paintings, maps and fine type. Less suited: very large flat areas of a single dark colour on matte stock, which can show slight banding up close.
