What it is for
Wallets, card holders, luggage tags and passport covers are small, handled every day and easy to give to anyone.
Most are printed on one face only; check the print area for the size of that face.
Dye sublimation
Sublimation prints the design onto transfer paper with dye ink; heat then turns the dye into a gas that bonds into a polyester coating or polyester fibre.
Colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, so it is vivid and does not crack or peel. It cannot print white: white in a design shows as the colour of the item itself, which is why sublimated items are white or pale.
There is no texture at all — on fabric you cannot feel the print, and on a mug it is under a smooth coating.
Designs that suit it
Small surfaces want a monogram, initials, a pattern or a small picture — not a scene.
The print area is on the front: 1,410 × 1,842 pixels, about 4.7 × 6.1 in at 300 dpi — a tall, portrait area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Full-colour photographs, paintings and edge-to-edge patterns. Less suited: designs that rely on white ink, and important detail right at seams, handles or edges where the transfer wraps.
Sentences that would suit it

Actiniae (Sea Anemones), from Art Forms in Nature, Ernst Haeckel, 1904. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.

“A dusky rose floral pattern for a reading chair”
Honeysuckle, William Morris, designed 1876. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.

“Art Nouveau poppies in coral and gold”
Oriental Poppies, from Documents Décoratifs, Alphonse Mucha, 1902. Public domain. Shown on our example tough phone cases.

Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Miami, FL, United States, then shipped: 5–15 business days to Canada ($34.24 CAD for the first item) and 2–5 business days to the US ($11.36 CAD). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Printed in North America, so it ships without an overseas leg and no import duties apply within North America.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by December 4 for Canada and December 18 for the US — that is the Passport Cover's own longest window counted back from December 25.

Before you order
How long does the Passport Cover take to arrive?
To Canada, 5–15 business days, with first-item shipping at $34.24 CAD; to the US, 2–5 business days ($11.36 CAD). It is printed to order in Miami, FL, United States, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Passport Cover?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photographs in full colour with no texture. White areas print as the item's own colour, so a photo with a white background blends into it. The print file is 1410 × 1842 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
When should I order the Passport Cover for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by December 4 to Canada and December 18 to the US. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Passport Cover?
It is sublimation-printed, and that sets the care. Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. No abrasive cleaners or solvents on the printed face.
