What it is for
A mug is the gift that gets used every morning. It sits on a desk or a counter, so the design is seen by the person who received it more than by anyone else.
Handles and the rim are not printed; the wrap stops a little short of the handle on both sides.
Dye sublimation
Sublimation prints the design onto transfer paper with dye ink; heat then turns the dye into a gas that bonds into a polyester coating or polyester fibre.
Colour becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top, so it is vivid and does not crack or peel. It cannot print white: white in a design shows as the colour of the item itself, which is why sublimated items are white or pale.
There is no texture at all — on fabric you cannot feel the print, and on a mug it is under a smooth coating.
Designs that suit it
The print wraps around the body. A design about twice as wide as it is tall fills it; a single image can be placed on one side, or repeated so it shows whichever hand holds the mug.
The print area is on the front: 2,717 × 1,146 pixels, about 9.1 × 3.8 in at 300 dpi — a wide, landscape area. The studio generates the design at that size, so it is printed from a full-resolution file rather than an enlarged preview.
Full-colour photographs, paintings and edge-to-edge patterns. Less suited: designs that rely on white ink, and important detail right at seams, handles or edges where the transfer wraps.

Where it is printed, and when it arrives
It is printed to order in Prague, Czechia, then shipped: 5–15 business days to Canada ($24.24 CAD for the first item). Each window counts from the day the order is placed and includes printing.
Because it is printed outside North America, import duties or taxes may apply on arrival.
To arrive by Christmas 2026 with standard shipping, order by December 4 for Canada — that is the Ceramic Mug (EU)'s own longest window counted back from December 25.
How it compares with our other mugs
- Of the 52 mugs in the catalogue, 1 costs less and 48 cost more.
- Its longest delivery time to Canada, 15 business days, is the same as the family's median of 15; 3 other mugs arrive sooner.

Before you order
How long does the Ceramic Mug (EU) take to arrive?
To Canada, 5–15 business days, with first-item shipping at $24.24 CAD. It is printed to order in Prague, Czechia, and the window counts from the day you order, printing included.
Can I put a photo on the Ceramic Mug (EU)?
Yes. Sublimation reproduces photographs in full colour with no texture. White areas print as the item's own colour, so a photo with a white background blends into it. The print file is 2717 × 1146 pixels on the front, so a photo should be at least that size to print sharply.
What sizes does the Ceramic Mug (EU) come in?
2 sizes: 11oz, 15oz.
When should I order the Ceramic Mug (EU) for Christmas?
With standard shipping, by December 4 to Canada. Those dates count this product's longest delivery window back from December 25 in business days. Express shipping at checkout, where it is offered, shortens the window.
How do I look after the Ceramic Mug (EU)?
It is sublimation-printed, and that sets the care. Hand washing keeps the colour brightest for longest. For dishwasher and microwave use, follow the product spec below for this exact item. No abrasive sponges on the printed area.
